Icon of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God. The beautiful, handmade, colorful, made on board alder, hand-gilded with gold leaf. Icon is made of a unique imaging technology on wood. Available in four sizes - A-10.5 cm x 14 cm; B-12cm x 16cm; E - 17cm x 23cm; F - 29cm x 39cm. (Our icons individually tailored to the size and type of boards on which they are executed. In the framework of a given pattern may be significant differences.) This icon is adapted to both hanging and standing for exposure. Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God - according to tradition, the icon was written by the Evangelist Luke on board from the table in the Upper Room. However, according to research by historians of art it was created much later, in the first half of the twelfth century Byzantium. Over time, the icon repeatedly modified, the original state can currently only admire the character of Mother of God and the face of the Infant Jesus.
